How long have you been officiating weddings?
Celia has been joyfully officiating weddings for over 18 years (time flies when you’re having fun!). Her associate officiants bring over 14 years of experience each, and they all share a passion for creating meaningful and memorable ceremonies.
How are you different from other officiants?
We’re glad you asked! We’re warm, funny, accomplished, and completely professional without being pretentious. We respond quickly, stay flexible, and focus on creating a ceremony that feels right for you. No cheesy clichés or awkward moments—just a heartfelt, personal celebration of your love. Read more about us HERE.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve New Jersey and nearby areas, including NYC and southern New York state. Travel within 15 minutes of our base locations is included, and we can travel farther for a small mileage fee.
Do you perform same-sex weddings?
Absolutely! We’ve been officiating same-sex ceremonies since before marriage equality was law. We’re passionate about creating ceremonies that honor every love story. See more info HERE.
Do you perform vow renewals?
Yes! Whether it’s your 5th, 25th, or 50th anniversary—or just because—we’d love to help you renew your vows. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate your journey together and create new memories.
What if we want a non-religious ceremony?
That’s perfectly fine! We perform both civil and secular ceremonies that focus on love, commitment, and your personal story—no religious elements are required.
We don't go anywhere without our dog. Can Sparky be our ring bearer?
Absolutely! We adore dogs and encourage you to include Sparky (or any furry friend) in your big day. We’ve had dogs as ring bearers, flower dogs, and even honorary officiants. Need recommendations for pet-friendly vendors? We can help with that too!
Can we include a special ritual like jumping the broom or pouring sand?
Of course! Your ceremony is all about you, and we’re happy to include any rituals that are meaningful to you. From braiding cords to sharing chocolate or even stomping a remote control (true story!), we’ll make it happen.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely! Writing your own vows adds a deeply personal touch to your ceremony (or your first look, if you choose not to say them in public). If you need help, we’re happy to guide you through the process or offer inspiration.
Do we need a rehearsal?
Most couples don’t need a formal rehearsal, but if it would ease your nerves or help your family feel more prepared, we’re happy to schedule one (if available). We also provide a detailed cue sheet for your planner or coordinator to guide the ceremony.
Can we contact you with questions before booking?
Of course! Feel free to email Celia at celia.milton@verizon.net or call/text her directly at 201-563-5544. We’re here to answer all your questions and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
What’s the next step if we want to book you?
Let’s connect! We’ll schedule a chat to get to know each other and talk about your ideas. If you’re planning from afar, we’re happy to meet over Zoom or FaceTime. We’ll make the process as easy and fun as possible for you.
Do you accept credit cards?
While we don’t accept credit cards, we gladly accept Zelle, cash, checks, or even barter if you’ve got a unique skill to trade. Let’s talk about what works best for you!
Do you work with wedding planners or venue coordinators?
Yes! We collaborate seamlessly with planners, coordinators, and other vendors to ensure your day runs smoothly. From syncing with photographers to coordinating timing with your venue, we’ve got you covered.
